Dr. Perry Kopec and the Kopec Dental team insist on a collaborative approach to dentistry and your oral health and hygiene. We want you to be aware and knowledgeable about your options for restorative and cosmetic treatments. It is important to us that you are well-informed and understand your treatment, especially in more complex procedures.

Most importantly, we want your appointment to be a pleasant one. We’re ready to help you with questions about scheduling, financial policy and insurance, to make that part of the process as simple and understandable as possible.

There is nothing more important to your overall health than your oral hygiene. We also help you to maintain your own health with a regular hygiene schedule. We offer convenient patient alerts to keep your oral health top of mind. We offer phone call, text message, email and postcard appointment alerts and reminders. Let us know how you want to receive your appointment information!

We are conveniently located in the downtown core of Calgary, AB. Our office can be found in Canada Place Dental, on the plus 15 level of the Canada Place office tower. We will have you in and out in the hour for your hygiene visit. There will be little disruption to your work schedule.

New patients are always welcome! We’ll help you determine an appropriate hygiene schedule and work with your previous dentist to obtain your existing x-rays and treatment plan.

We also do our very best to accommodate any dental emergencies. We know how uncomfortable it can be when a tooth is causing pain, and we will see you as soon as is possible, or find an alternative solution. Often one of our partners in Canada Place Dental, Dr. Albert Lui, BSc, DDS or Dr. Murray Hennings, DMD will be able to treat you if our team is not.

Services

Our Services:

General dentistry

General dentistry services include treatments for restorative dentistry includes bonding, bridgescrowns, dental sealantsfillings including inlays and onlays, root canals, tooth extractions, and implants if necessary. Tooth restorations are the various ways we can replace or restore missing teeth or missing parts of the tooth structure. Tooth structure can be missing due to decay, deterioration of a previously placed restoration, or fracture of a tooth. Employing good personal hygiene habits through oral care skills and diet are the best ways to avoid undergoing a restorative procedure.

Cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is about boosting your self-confidence and your morale by improving the appearance of your teeth. Cosmetic dentistry services include porcelain veneers and crowns, teeth whitening, and lasering gums or cold sores. We also have the ability to treat snoring. Sometimes, the location, shape, size and colour of your teeth could be detrimental to the overall aesthetics of your smile. Teeth in the wrong position often leads to cavities or gum disease due to an increased difficulty in caring for them. Orthodontic work may be necessary to correct the location and position of your teeth. Once in their proper location, your teeth will be much easier to clean and maintain.

Health and Hygiene

Health and Hygiene:

Your health and hygiene is our priority. We recommend our patients visit their dental team twice a year to maintain an excellent standard of care in dental hygiene and overall health.

Your health and hygiene require constant care – bacteria will always fight back! We encourage you to join in a schedule that enables our hygienists to keep harmful bacteria in check. Without a regular hygiene schedule, you may experience more pain or a longer appointment time in your next visit. No one wants that!

Each visit your hygienist will thoroughly clean the hard, calcified plaque deposits off all surfaces of your teeth. These deposits can cause periodontal disease, and may lead to tooth loss. The bacteria in these plaque deposits can also play a role in many other diseases throughout the body.

We suggest patients with active disease like tooth decay or periodontal disease visit every three months until we can bring the disease under control.  We also recommend more frequent care for patients with active systemic disease such as heart disease, diabetes, prosthetic joints or for smokers to achieve their best oral health and hygiene.

The Canadian Dental Association provides more great resources on caring for your oral health and hygiene. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your oral health and hygiene.
