Porcelain Veneers and Crowns:

Porcelain veneers are thin layers of porcelain that are bonded directly to your teeth to transform their shape, size and colour. Veneers require minor tooth preparation. When bonded to the teeth, the ultra-thin porcelain veneers are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to coffee, tea, or even cigarette stains. For strength and appearance, their resemblance to healthy, white tooth enamel is unsurpassed by other restorative options

Porcelain crowns are most often made for the anterior part of the mouth, usually to respond to an aesthetic need for the front 6, 8 or 10 teeth noticeable in your smile. Porcelain crowns require more tooth reduction and preparation than veneers.
